Location of the Hire Desk Manager / Hire Desk Controller / Rental Manager / Hire and Service Manager / Fleet Hire Manager / Fleet Maintenance Controller / Hire Manager: Basildon / Essex area Salary of the Hire Desk Manager / Hire Desk Controller / Rental Manager / Hire and Service Manager / Fleet Hire Manager / Fleet Maintenance Controller / Hire Manager: £40,000 - £45,000 pa Hours of work: Monday to Friday 06:00am - 16:00pm My client, an ever growing rental / hire business that specialise in commercial vehicle hire, from municipal vehicles and RCVs to box vans and tippers, are looking for an ambitious and experienced Hire Desk Manager / Hire Desk Controller / Rental Manager / Hire and Service Manager / Fleet Hire Manager / Fleet Maintenance Controller / Hire Manager to join their dynamic team based near Basildon. Responsibilities of the Hire Desk Manager / Hire Desk Controller / Rental Manager / Hire and Service Manager / Fleet Hire Manager / Fleet Maintenance Controller / Hire Manager: * Supervise the Hire desk and ensure they complete their key responsibilities daily * Plan and control the day to day Rental / hire operations * Execute all hire enquiries/opportunities – manage delivery and collection and ensure that efficiency is achieved * Maintain a strong and professional partnership and working relationship with the Service Manager * Support and assist the Service Desk Manager by taking calls and logging defects. * Maximise the team’s profitability and meeting and exceeding all customer expectations * Take a proactive and disciplined approach in managing the commercial relationship with the client base – regularly liaising with clients to cultivate the business * Work closely with the Service Manager to support retention of existing business and help to win new business from existing customer base via added value services * Maximise sales contribution each month and exceeding the company’s expectation * Liaise with workshops to assist in controlling repair costs. * Grow customer revenue base through marketing and Telesales activities with the clients * Manage all aspects of the vehicle hire and ensure customer KPI’s are met. * Take part in review meetings and present KPI’s and performance. * Champion of Health and Safety compliance within the yard and rental areas. * Manage the resolving customer/invoice and other queries Other Duties involve: · Support the Service Desk and Service Desk Manager Key Attributes of the Hire Desk Manager / Hire Desk Controller / Rental Manager / Hire and Service Manager / Fleet Hire Manager / Fleet Maintenance Controller / Hire Manager: * Customer focused attitude * Previous experience in a hire / rental operation, ideally from the waste / municipal industry * Previous experience controlling the hire desk * Experience of hiring commercial vehicles, vans, plant an advantage * Numerical and written skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office products * Willing to learn and develop themselves * Administration skills * Adaptable and self-starter * Good Communication skills If this job role sounds like the role for you, then please send your CV to Danica Baker at Sprint Recruitment
