1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – Leatherhead – September Start
A welcoming primary school in Leatherhead is looking for a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025, providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil who needs extra help to thrive in class.
The school is seeking someone calm, patient, and encouraging, with experience supporting children with ASD and behaviour needs. You’ll play a vital role in helping the pupil progress both academically and socially.
Requirements
1. At least 6 months’ experience in a UK primary school
2. Experience supporting pupils with ASD and behaviour needs
3. Strong written and spoken communication skills
4. Two recent references
5. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
The Role
6. Full-time, term-time only
7. Provide 1:1 support tailored to individual needs
8. Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher
9. Contribute to a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
