Fives Group is seeking a Sales Manager in the Birmingham, AL area. This role can also be done remotely as it involves heavy travel.

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager who can help develop market share in new installations and modernization projects for the North American Cement and Minerals Industry. This may include projects involving grinding equipment (classifiers and ball mills), pyro-process revamping, and air treatment/bag houses.

Job Responsibilities:

1. The US Sales Manager will be responsible for conducting marketing & sales activities on the US markets. You will be the Fives FCB main contact in USA for all matters pertaining to marketing actions, commercial prospects and tenders.
2. Implementation of the commercial action plan in USA. You will propose and organize all actions required to meet the objectives set up by Fives FCB Head Office with the prior approval of Fives FCB Commercial Director.
3. Monitoring of market trends and evolution, competitors activities and main events.
4. Regular reporting to Head office on activities and market news
5. Representation of Fives FCB in exhibitions, seminars happening in USA.
6. Prospection of Customers and follow-up of their potential projects.
7. Establish the commercial strategy and actions with Fives FCB Commercial Director.
8. Contract negotiation within the limit and perimeter as defined by the Commercial Director and Fives FCB procedures.
9. Maintain compliances to all rules and regulations to avoid any exposure to Fives FCB France in front of US authorities (legal, taxes. etc).
10. Assist customers in developing maintenance strategies, CAPEX planning, and upgrade roadmaps based on inspection findings and operational risk.
11. Represent Fives FCB and Fives Solios Inc at trade shows, technical conferences, and customer meetings to promote our field service capabilities and technical leadership.
12. Convert technical insights into commercial opportunities, such as long-term service agreements, spare parts sales, and capital equipment upgrades.
13. Lead field service operations related to the inspection, maintenance and repair of rotary kilns, ball mills, baghouses and other heavy industrial equipment.
14. Conduct and interpret detailed mechanical inspections.
15. Troubleshoot complex mechanical failures and provide clients with expert recommendations for preventive or corrective maintenance.
16. Plan and oversee all aspects of project logistics, including scope definition, resource planning, subcontractor coordination, and safety compliance.
17. Supervise skilled field teams (mechanics, welders, technicians) ensuring project execution meets or exceeds technical standards, safety protocols, and client expectations.
18. Ensure at all times compliance to Fives group directives & recommendations.
19. Collaborate with other Fives Entities.
20. Must be willing to travel frequently to customer and prospect sites. Some international travel will also be involved (mostly corporate related).

Qualifications/Skills:

21. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with a Master’s Degree preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
22. Minimum 10 years experience in the cement, minerals, mining, aggregates, or related industry.
23. Proven ability to drive new business and execute marketing strategies for growth.
24. Must be able to develop and form technical teams in the field to conduct service/installation projects.
25. Prior technical, engineering, or field service experience with cement manufacturing equipment (ball mills, kilns, bag houses, etc.) is highly preferred.
26. Excellent organizational and detail-oriented mindset.
27. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
28. Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Physical Demands

29. This role will involve heavy travel (up to 75%)
30. Ability to perform tasks and duties at industrial job sites for extended hours, climbing on and entering industrial equipment for visual inspections and light to moderate weightlifting
