Permanent Veterinary Nurse - Northwich, Cheshire

We are working with an independent small animal hospital in Northwich who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team.
This role is full time with shifts from 8am to 5pm, 10am to 7pm or 11am to 8pm. There is a shared weekend rota between the nursing team working 8am to 8pm with days off in lieu after working a weekend. There is also a week of overnight inpatient care from 8pm to 8am with the following week off.
The nurses are responsible for in-patient care overnight and assisting the vet with any calls etc. If it is a quiet night or if there are no in-patients, then there is a crash room they can use to sleep.
The practice shares all of the shifts between the whole nursing team across both of the sites to maintain a one team approach.

5. Hours: Full time, shifts between 8am and 8pm
6. Weekends: On a rota, 8am to 8pm
7. TOIL: For weekend and OOH work
8. OOH: 1 week of overnight care, 7:30pm to 8:30am, following week off
9. Team: 10 vets, 9 RVNs and 3 SVNs

An independent veterinary practice with a traditional yet fast paced environment and state of the art equipment. They work to the highest of standards being an RCVS accredited practice and also an ISFM cat friendly practice
The family run independent feel runs throughout the practice and they take a huge pride in the level of care they provide all clients with. The have a flagship Hospital along with a brand new purpose built branch which is fully equipped with all the toys, the difference being the overnight patient care and emergency service is transferred to the Hospital.
They boast a large team of 10 vets, 9 RVNs and 3 SVNs. They have certificate holding Veterinary Surgeons and Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC and Medicine. They also have visiting specialists in Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology and Diagnostic Imaging allowing for an all round fantastic service to patients and clients. All members of staff are actively encouraged and supported with their CPD and further study and with the level of expertise available they are exposed to more challenging and interesting cases.
About you:
They are looking for a compassionate, hard working and reliable veterinary nurse with a passion for the industry that is clear to see in everything they do. It is important that you are fully qualified and registered with the RCVS. Customer service skills are also of high importance, as they require all nurses to assist the reception team when required.
Package:
10. Salary: £28, to £38, per annum, commensurate to experience
