Role
Responsibilities
 * Working directly for the Senior Design Engineer, assist in setting up parametric models that run automatically in conjunction with our ERP system, these models automatically produce drawings, DXF files, BOMs & cut lists for the manufacturing team to use.
 * Apply a continuous improvement mindset to enhance the speed and quality of outputs produced by the design team.
 * Develop and improve new and existing products to reduce costs and improve manufacturing lead times.
 * Produce CAD drawings for new or improved products using industry standards.
 * Ability to deal with multiple projects concurrently.
 * Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to investigate and resolve problems with existing designs. Participate in reviews and make recommendations.
 * Make corrections to models and drawings as and when requested to do so by senior staff.
 * Provide support to other areas within the Engineering department during busy periods to ensure drawings are issued on time and customer deadlines are met.
Qualifications
 * Manufacturing industry experience as a Design Engineer with a relevant degree to back up your experience.
 * Fully proficient in both 2D/3D CAD packages including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
 * Location: Blackpool (Marton area) or within reasonable commuting distance.
 * Shift: 36 hours Mon - Thurs.

Salary - Circa £35000 depending on experience
