Site Engineer – AMP
Location: Bournemouth or Dorchester
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join our Environment Business at Galliford Try.
Galliford Try have been appointed as a Principal Contractor for the Wessex Water AMP framework so you will be working as part of an experienced, high performance team delivering Design & Build projects on this £ AMP framework.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Bournemouth or Dorchester area and you will have the opportunity to travel across multiple high value sites/projects in the Region.
What you will be doing:
In this role, you will provide setting-out and engineering support on site. You will coordinate engineering control and setting-out activities and provide technical information to operatives and subcontractors to help deliver works safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
1. Provide accurate setting-out and engineering control on site
2. Coordinate engineering activities to support successful construction delivery
3. Complete daily site diary records, including photographs and supporting evidence
4. Conduct material reconciliations and ensure surveying equipment is calibrated and fit for purpose
5. Carry out as-built surveys and create accurate D and D drawings/sketches
6. Support quality processes including record keeping, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
7. Maintain accurate as-built records throughout delivery
8. Assist in planning, monitoring and programme updates for site works
9. Support innovation and continuous improvement by identifying new processes, technologies and techniques
10. Promote and uphold a positive Health, Safety & Environment culture across site
About You
Essential:
11. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data
12. Working knowledge of standard setting-out techniques and experience using
13. Level and EDM (GPS knowledge desirable)
14. A flexible, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
15. CSCS and SMSTS (or willingness to work towards – training can be provided)
Desirable:
16. Previous experience in the Water Industry or Civil Engineering sector
17. Experience working on site and familiarity with construction quality processes
