Job Description:
Diagnose and repair operational problems with boiler controls and accessories. Responsible for new machine installation, start-ups, repairs, and selling service and service contracts.
Requirements:
Qualifications: Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Knowledge of Mechanical Equipment Applications, Ladder logic, and electrical drawings is required.
Education/Experience: High school diploma with at least two years of related experience or training. Knowledge of commercial and industrial boiler systems, Programmable Logic and Direct Digital Controls, combustion, emissions, efficiency testing, flame safeguard controls, HVACR systems, steam systems, and electrical systems.
Computer Skills: Proficiency with computers, MS Office Suite, and control software.
Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver’s License, Apprentice or Journeyman License; optional First or Second Grade Engineer’s License.
Ability: Read and interpret safety rules, manuals; write reports; communicate effectively.
Math Skills: Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and basic geometry and algebra.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
Work Environment: Work at customer sites with varying climate and noise levels; occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, and use hands for handling objects; specific vision abilities required.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols, report unsafe conditions immediately.
Professionalism and Etiquette: Maintain professional appearance and conduct per company values and policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Adhere to safety protocols and promote safety culture.
* Provide excellent customer service and attend vendor training.
* Maintain inventory and vehicle cleanliness; drive safely with a clean record.
* Maintain attendance; assist in training and record-keeping.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and perform system start-up and upgrades.
* Perform preventative maintenance and assist with on-call duties.
* Procure parts, update vendor software, and perform backups.
* Perform other duties and cross-training as required.
