Position: Chartered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist
Location: Mental Health Treatment Requirement, Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Contract: Maternity cover, 12 months fixed term from January 2026

We are currently seeking a talented Chartered Psychologist to join our newly formed Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) team, dedicated to delivering effective psycho-social interventions.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will:
* Provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists.
* Collaborate closely with the Clinical Lead and Consultant Clinical Psychologist to enhance innovative approaches.
* Oversee the systematic governance of the Leicestershire MHTR service alongside operational colleagues.
* Offer practical advice on evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues and local agencies.
* Inspire and develop your team, focusing on psychological formulation skills and a trauma-informed approach.
* Manage a small caseload of service users with complex needs, delivering specialist assessments and therapies.
* Contribute to the strategic direction and development of the service, building strong professional links.
* Explore ways to integrate wider issues such as housing and employment into the treatment process.
* Collaborate with our national team to enhance psychological and psycho-social approaches across services.
Are You the Ideal Candidate?
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds a current registration with the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist.
* Possesses a doctorate in your professional specialism and has a proven track record in delivering psychological services.
* Has experience leading and supervising clinical staff, ideally within substance misuse services.
* Exhibits excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to the Recovery Agenda.
* Formal training in supervision is desirable but not essential.
