TPF Recruitment is supporting a really lovely independent accountancy practice based in Chatham, who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Tax Manager to join their growing team.

The Role
You will work closely with the Directors and manage a portfolio of mainly owner managed business clients across a broad range of industries. The role will be a mix of accounts, tax and client management work, with the opportunity to get involved in supporting and mentoring junior members of staff.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
* Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns
* Advising clients on general accounting and tax matters
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Assisting the Directors with ad hoc projects and practice development work
Requirements
* ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
* Strong background within an accountancy practice environment
* Experience managing a portfolio of clients
* Good knowledge of accounts and tax compliance work
* Strong communication and client management skills
* Organised, personable and able to work independently
* Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
