Job title: Risk and Compliance Manager Department: Compliance Reporting to: QEHS Manager Location: Crowborough Contract type: Permanent Hours of work: 40 hours p/w (Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm) Salary: £38,000.00 - £43,000.00 per annum As the Risk and Compliance Manager, you will work as part of a team responsible for the delivering of the overall AASC assurance strategy ensuring regulation, policies and procedures are being applied appropriately, whilst always looking for ways to improve processes Procedures To support the MOD sites in developing, driving and maintaining an overall risk management and assurance strategy for the contract. Utilising the risk management process to assess the potential impact and to create solutions to reduce/remove known risks. Offering contractual guidance and support to colleagues where needed. Manage daily incident reviews, CCTV, visitor management and weekly physical site assessments. Support operational teams with Business Continuity and Major Incident management. Support operational colleagues on site to ensure the site is audited against contractual requirements on an annual basis. In conjunction with the wider AASC contract and produce corrective action plans. Work with the relevant internal teams to assist in maintaining compliance with policies, SOPs, and supporting documentation. Support with implementing changes and amendments as necessary. Acting as a catalyst for improvement, adherence and consistency in Risk Contribute to the continuous improvement of the site by conducting assurance reviews and physical site assessments providing efficient and effective solutions to potential business risk. Support the function with maintaining professional standards and assist with Conduct audits of policy and compliance with standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors. Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within Provide management information as required at team meetings and to Senior Management and Directors to enable progress with plans and objectives to be measured and reviewed. Takes responsibility for identifying reputational risks in respect of AASC delivery, and ensuring appropriate intervention is provided and where required escalation to the Senior Auditor and Head of Assurance. This role will be based primarily at the Crowborough site but some occasional travel within the UK may be required. Support for Service Users Assess and undertake reviews of the service provisions by the sites team in delivering Services in line with the AASC standards and compliance requirements for effective management of our Service Users. Reviewing the Sites team reporting of Incident Reports are in line with the relevant process and standards require, identifying gaps in the reporting standards and ensuring any outstanding incident reports are raised Sampling risk and compliance management to identify non-conformances in the quality management system of adherence to the required standards as outlined in AASC, for the service delivery of the sites management of Service Users. Ensuring staff are aware and implement the necessary process to always maintain SUS health and safety Ensuring by sampling risk and compliance that appropriate related certification and documentation is produced and recorded accurately Work in partnership with the Safeguarding Team to identify best practices in safeguarding directives that can be cascaded to the Sites team, to enhance effective safeguarding service delivery of Service Users. Work in partnership with other CRH Departments to ensure recommendations from UKVI Inspections and FRA recommendations are followed up through to completion, as assigned by the Senior Auditors. Promote a positive, proactive health and safety culture focused on prevention and shared responsibility Connect and Collaborate Work closely with your line manager and team members Collaborate with others, attending meetings as required by the Senior Auditor Supporting team members and provide on-the-job training as directed by the Senior Manager Provide cover for other staff as agreed by line manager Responsive Keep up to date with all written and verbal communications (i.e. emails/messages/calls) Ensure all records are maintained and kept up to date according to company policies and procedures Talented Monitor own work levels, progress and development in the role Undertake all core learning and development programmes as required Undertake relevant learning according to agreed Personal Development Plan Pursuing personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role and in accordance to agreed Personal Development Plan. Make recommendations on operational issues and enhancements.
