The Senior Admissions Officer is a pivotal, sales-focused role responsible for driving recruitment across the Senior School, Sixth Form, and international markets while ensuring a seamless admissions experience from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
Responsibilities
Admissions Management & Data Coordination
* Serve as the main point of contact for admissions enquiries for senior school entry (Year 7‑11), Sixth Form entry (Year 12) and international pupil entry.
* Manage the end‑to‑end admissions process and communications for allocated enquiries, from initial contact to enrolment, maintaining accurate records in iSAMS.
* Work closely with the Admissions & Marketing Data Manager to ensure effective data management and reporting.
* Maintain accurate and timely records of enquiries, applications, offers and enrolments using the school's database.
* Support scholarship assessments and entrance days, liaising with academic staff as required.
Event Participation
* Collaborate with the Marketing Team to support the planning and execution of various recruitment events.
* Coordinate prospective family visits, ensuring a welcoming, smooth and informative experience.
* Represent the school at feeder school recruitment events and maintain relationships with key feeder schools.
* Oversee arrangements for new pupil arrivals, including induction days and orientation programmes.
International Recruitment & Travel Support
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key international agents to support pupil recruitment.
* Support the implementation of international recruitment initiatives in line with the school's strategy.
* Support the UKVI Lead in collecting and securely storing accurate documentation where required as part of the admissions process.
* Assist in planning and attending international pupil recruitment fairs and events in the UK; occasional travel may be required in the future.
* Provide insights and recommendations to enhance international recruitment activity.
Other Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, data protection, and admissions regulations.
* Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve admissions processes and the wider recruitment strategy.
* Promote the school's brand and values in all interactions with families and agents.
* Undertake any additional tasks as reasonably required by the Head of Marketing and Admissions, Headmaster, or Bursar and Chief Operating Officer.

Qualifications & Experience
* Essential: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience in admissions, sales, recruitment or a customer‑facing role.
* Understanding of UK and international admissions processes.
Desirable:
* Experience working in an independent school or education setting.
* Experience in international recruitment or working with agents.
* Familiarity with school management systems such as iSAMS.
* Understanding of the independent school admissions landscape.
Skills
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently engage prospective families by phone and provide a warm, professional welcome during visits.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities effectively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.

Terms of Appointment
* Hours of work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 52‑week contract. Occasional Saturday work may be required; time off in lieu will be provided.
* Salary: Grade C1.17 (1 FTE) £33,030.59 – C2.21 (£37,643.87) 1 FTE. The salary will increase by a further 4% in September 2026, in line with the annual salary review.
