We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our team based in Fareham and lead the Payroll team. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for Managing the Payroll team as well as a portfolio of payroll clients.
As a Payroll Manager your role will involve:
* Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
* Making timely RTI submissions
* Applying knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments, for example, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP.
* Applying knowledge of pension schemes, including AE process and pension upload to pension providers website.
* Keeping up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance.
* Proactively liaise with HMRC and assist with technical enquiries when they arise.
* Processing manual payroll calculations.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
* Using your own initiative to resolve issues.
* Supporting and developing a payroll team
The ideal Payroll Manager will:
* Have experience using Sage Payroll
* Be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation.
* Have knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme
* Be able to demonstrate attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.
