We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated trust doctor who will be responsible for day to day care of General Surgery patients under supervision of consultants and specialist registrars. Active participation in regular out-patient and in-patient work, including management of emergency cases, is expected and forms an essential part of training. This position will include on call covering surgical specialties out of hours.

Main duties of the job

There will also be a night on call element of this job. There will also be opportunities to attend Theatre and day case learn minor procedures.

3. Experience of clinical audit.
4. Regular attendance at and participation in audit meetings

5. A range of Colorectal experience
6. Clear evidence of intention to specialise in Colorectal
7. At least 12 months Foundation surgery experience.
8. Experience of teaching medical and other staff
