What's the role?
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), such as autism, ADHD and dyslexia. You will play a key role in helping students across the curriculum to build their confidence and to succeed both academically and socially.
What are the key responsibilities?
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
* Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
* Help students to stay engaged, focused and motivated in lessons
* Support the development of students' social and emotional skills
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff
* Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
What are we looking for?
* A recent graduate with a strong academic background (2:1 degree or higher, from a leading university)
* A genuine interest in supporting young people's learning
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience, resilience and apositive attitude
* Previous experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
