CRH offers a wide range of exciting and rewarding opportunities for people who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care. This post provides clinical and professional leadership to Clinical Psychologists within CAMHS.
The post-holder will provide an expert highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations and interventions overview for children and young people with the most complex needs in Core CAMHS. To provide highly specialist expert supervision advice and consultant to CAMHS clinicians.
The post-holder will provide professional, high-level, and effective line management and clinical supervision structures to psychological professionals (primarily focussed on Core CAMHS).
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the job include:
* To lead on, and provide expert, specialist psychological advice, guidance and contribute to highly-specialist psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with complex needs in CAMHS (primarily in Core).
* To lead on the provision of high quality evidenced-based therapies in CAMHS working closely across multidisciplinary teams and with the service’s senior management team.
* To contribute to care unit management functions such as quality governance, contributing to service improvement, quality assurance and governance across the Service.
* To work as part of the Care Unit management team and take a lead role in appropriate service-wide developments.
* To provide collaborative and compassionate clinical leadership that enables positive engagement and skills development, and managerial support for the psychological workforce.
Person specification
The successful candidate will have:
* A Post Graduate Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
* Evidence of relevant specialist training or qualifications beyond post graduate qualification
* Management and leadership qualification
* Clinical Psychology experience in children's mental health services
* Supervision of other health care staff
* Experience of working successfully as part of a multi-agency/professional team
