Job Description

The following responsibilities and qualifications outline the role:

1. Effectively motivate a team to meet production targets.
2. Ensure the final product meets client specifications (SPI).
3. Maximise production efficiency to meet daily/hourly plans.
4. Use integrated management systems effectively.
5. Adhere to and promote best practices in health, safety, and quality regulations.
6. Complete all paperwork and systems accurately per company procedures.
7. Ensure compliance with hygienic audits (internal and external).
8. Strictly follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping standards.
9. Assist in developing a skills matrix for all production workers.
10. Attend line leader meetings and relevant training sessions.
11. Support the identification and development of Line Leaders.
12. Assist in training new starters.
13. Act as a role model for best practices.
14. Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
15. Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
16. Conduct RTWs for line workers.
17. Participate in the company’s PDP program.
18. Conduct disciplinary investigations as per company procedures.
19. Serve as a machinery knowledge specialist.
20. Drive personal development through training and work-based experiences.
21. Manage production output and resolve issues promptly.
22. Cover for the Area Manager when absent.
23. Liaise with customers and clients as necessary.
24. Be prepared to work various shifts to support the management team.
25. Perform other duties within the scope of the role as required.


Qualifications

* Experience in a customer-led environment with changing priorities.
* Experience with manufacturing machinery and processes.
* H&S Level 2 Qualification.
* NVQ Level 2 in Team Leading of Packing Operations.
* Positive and clear communication skills.
* Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work under strict deadlines.
* Recognition of continuous improvement importance.
* Ability to work towards targets.
