Dundee City Council is seeking a talented professional passionate about the environment, with extensive experience in project planning, coordination, stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and continuous improvement.
Working in a hybrid style, based at home and at 5 City Square, you will work full-time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements
You will have a degree, or equivalent qualification, or be experienced in project planning and Council policy related to environmental matters.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop coherent environmental strategies aligned with local and national policies.
* Lead and coordinate Environment capital plan programming and support the development of the Environment Asset Management plan.
* Oversee project design, surveying, estimating, and GIS team management, including capital and revenue projects administration.
* Develop technical designs for parks development and master plans.
* Coordinate environmental initiatives such as the Take Pride in Your City Campaign.
* Lead the delivery of service events and advise on Beautiful Scotland and Beach Award applications.
* Develop and enhance sports booking processes.
* Foster links and support community groups and environmental initiatives aligned with Dundee City Council's strategies, such as the City Plan.
The Individual
* Demonstrable knowledge of project management, preferably within the environmental sector.
* Extensive knowledge of environmental issues related to street scenes, parks, and open spaces.
* Experience in managing and supervising staff and teams.
* Experience representing the Council/Department in internal and external groups.
* Proficiency in preparing committee and formal reports.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership, organizational, and development skills.
* Effective presentation, workload coordination, staff engagement, and development skills.
* Current driving licence.
