Overview
The Senior Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the full payroll function across Aeralife. This includes managing all processes to ensure timely, accurate payment and compliance with legal and tax obligations. The role is both strategic and operational—requiring close collaboration with the People & Culture, Finance, and IT teams to drive continuous improvement, implement best practices, and deliver exceptional payroll services to Aeralife employees.

* Collaborate with People & Culture, Finance, and IT teams to implement best practices and deliver high-quality payroll services.
What Will You Bring To The Role
* Extensive experience in payroll management within a medium-to-large organisation.
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation obligations in Australia.
* Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a payroll team.
* Demonstrated experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
* High attention to detail, with strong analytical and reporting skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
Desirable
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* Experience in the aged care, health, or community services sectors.
About You
You are an experienced payroll leader with a strong ability to manage the delivery of accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll operations. You excel at overseeing payment, reconciliation, and disbursement processes, and have proven experience managing PAYE tax, FBT, superannuation, and reporting requirements. Your collaborative approach enables you to work effectively with Finance and People & Culture teams to implement end-to-end process improvements and adopt best practices. You’re skilled in supervising payroll workloads, maintaining high customer service standards, and resolving pay queries efficiently. With a keen eye for detail, you ensure accurate processing of staff movements and maintain payroll records and systems in line with internal protocols. You also contribute to management reporting, lead payroll system upgrades, and continuously seek opportunities to align payroll functions with Aeralife’s strategic goals.
