Importantly, pupils say that they now enjoy their learning.” (Ofsted, 2025) We are seeking a dynamic, supportive, and inspiring teacher who has experience in curriculum planning and delivery of any of: Health and Social Care/Child Care or Business/Travel and Tourism or Law across Key Stages4 and 5.We currently offer a wide variety of vocational subjects which form a significant part of our offer at Key Stage 4 and this is set to expand as we build links with local colleges and offer more courses to ensure we meet our students’ needs. If you are an incredible teacher who is passionate about improving students’ opportunities through vocational pathways and able to inspire and motivate students to learn we want to hear from you. Your passion is demonstrated in your daily work and you are willing to contribute to wider curriculum opportunity for students to further engage and support them in the subject. The successful candidate will be joining an established and cohesive team of colleagues, with good links across other schools as part of the Mercian Academy Trust, with excellent opportunities for development. We welcome visits from potential candidates at any time. The Academy is looking for someone who has: • Ambition for all students to achieve incredible things, particularly inspiring their interest and supporting development of skills and knowledge invocational subjects; • Resilience to adapt and support all students in achieving invocational studies; • Ambition for your own development and learning. All teaching staff are provided with additional non-contact time specifically for personal-development; • Excellent subject knowledge; • The ability to understand and work with assessment data to monitor and intervene as appropriate with students. Your key responsibilities will include: • Teaching vocational subjects across Key Stages4 and 5; • Responsibility for adding value to every learner in each teaching group benchmarked against national criteria and data; • Delivering, planning, and preparing lessons in accordance with the planned curriculum; • Contribution to curriculum design within the vocational suite of subjects; • Working as part of an incredible team that ensures creative and innovative learning and teaching occurs in every lesson; • Being a Form Tutor.
