Chief Executive Officer
to provide effective leadership and be an advocate for its mission: that every child has the opportunity to be heard, to be safe and to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Working with the Chair and Board of Trustees to enable the proper governance of the organisation and ensure the Board receives advice and information in a timely manner.
* Developing the organisation's long-term strategy, reporting on progress, and providing timely written reports and financial information for Board meetings.
* Overseeing the overall financial health of the organisation and
* Ensuring the organisation has the human, material and financial resources it needs to operate effectively and developing new strategies for obtaining and sustaining future resources.
* Actively identifying opportunities for growth in income generation and leading its financial planning, forecasting, control, and reporting.
* Leading the development and implementation of fundraising strategies, tenders and bid writing.
* Providing inspirational leadership to the management team and to all staff, ensuring staff and volunteers are focused on achieving the mission and strategic priorities.
* Using the media appropriately to raise the organisation's profile and formulating marketing strategies and campaigns.
* Leading on organisational change: identifying and responding to internal and external challenges and influencing organisational culture.
Skills and Experience
* Proven success in developing and executing strategic plans which drive growth and capitalise on opportunities.
* A strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of growing and diversifying income streams.
* The ability to inspire, motivate and align teams towards a shared vision and ambitious goals.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with a proven ability to secure partnerships and stakeholder confidence.
* Knowledge of and proven practical, successful experience in sales, marketing and fundraising.
* An understanding of operating in the education sector would be valuable, as would experience in outdoor education.
Salary and Benefits:
£70,376 to £85,746, depending on experience, plus 5% pension contribution and 28 days' holiday each year in addition to the statutory holidays.
Location:
Based between the Aylesbury office and The Caldecotte Xperience in Milton Keynes.
