Role Overview
Are you an experienced Room Leader looking for a fresh challenge? Join Acre Wood Nursery and help lead our team in delivering our ethos and curriculum to children and families. Our nursery is open from 7:00 AM – 6:15 PM, with varied shift patterns.
* Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources appropriate for children’s age and stage
* Support children’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development
* Assist staff in updating EyLog and children’s learning journals with high quality
* Lead by example, promoting respect, professionalism, and consistency
* Embed a strong key person approach and identify staff training or development needs
* Maintain accurate records for children and staff on EyMan
* Ensure safety and wellbeing of all children, staff, parents, and visitors
* Comply with statutory EYFS requirements
Duties may evolve and other relevant tasks may be added
Requirements & Skills
* Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification
* 1+ year experience in Early Years
* Knowledge of EYFS and regulatory requirements
* Fluent in written and spoken English
* 6+ months in a senior position
* Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating
