Assistant Accountant
Permanent and Full-time

£35-40,000 per annum
This role will give the successful candidate unparalleled experience in a fast-moving, rapidly evolving manufacturing business. This pivotal role will require exceptional technical expertise and robust exposure to financial and management accounting. Your new role will see you support the leadership team with financial insights, supporting and leading continuous improvement initiatives. This is a varied and hands-on role that combines technical accounting with strategic input. Working for a well-established organisation, you will support the accounting process, with particular attention to month-end, strengthening the consolidation of data and supporting the monthly reporting schedule.
Your duties will include the following:
* Preparing, posting, uploading journals
* Performing key month-end duties across the ledger functions
* General ledger management
* Production of statutory accounts for UK entities
* Assist with the preparation of the consolidated accounts
* Review EU and UK VAT returns prior to submission
* Prepayments and accruals
* Providing support for internal and external audit processes
Key to this role is the ability to support the senior management team and the wider business by responding and adapting to change in a positive manner; you must be able to think on your feet, adapting to an ever-changing landscape. You will need to have made significant progress with your ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualification and have excellent exposure to accounting in a commercial setting......... ideally the manufacturing industry. You will need to have excellent Excel skills for the interrogation of high volumes of data, superb attention to detail and strong communication skills. This role will see you liaise with key stakeholders across the UK with co-workers, colleagues and customers internationally.
