In partnership with S&B Automotive Academy, RAC is offering an exciting opportunity to become a Roadside Technician through our comprehensive apprenticeship programme. This is a fantastic chance for anyone eager to develop their technical skills and gain real-world experience. If you enjoy problem-solving and want a role that's hands-on and varied, then this could be the perfect fit

Annual Wage:

* Year 1: £15,500.00

Additional Benefits:

* Generous annual leave
* Fully equipped company vehicle (after 6 months)
* 24-hour colleague assistance programme
* Company life assurance

Working Hours & Shift Pattern:

Due to the roadside nature of the role and the requirement to shadow experienced mentors, shifts will follow a rotating pattern averaging 40 hours per week. While typical shifts are around 8 hours per day, these may vary depending on operational demands.

Please note, this role involves working during peak periods, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. As a Patrol Apprentice, you'll be supporting motorists when they need help the most, which often includes unsociable working hours.

This shift pattern is a fundamental part of the role, and we encourage all applicants to carefully consider their availability and lifestyle before applying. Ideally you will be located within a 10 mile commute of the postcode area.

Total Hours Per Week: 40

Recruitment Process:

Candidates will be reviewed by S&B before being forwarded to the RAC Academy Team. The RAC will then shortlist suitable applicants and contact these candidates directly to invite them for an initial Microsoft Teams Interview.

Possible Start Date: 22nd September 2025
