Neogen Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading data protection engineering team to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer. Responsibilities
* Integrate and support third-party vendor backup and data protection solutions
* Develop in-house applications and tooling (testing, capacity management, automation)
* Collaborate with global teams to capture requirements and deliver solutions
* Advise and communicate technical approaches to stakeholders of differing technical backgrounds
* Troubleshoot issues alongside operations and engineering colleagues
* Contribute actively to team meetings and a continuous-improvement culture
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong understanding of on-premise infrastructure: storage, networking and operating systems
* Experience with backup and data protection platforms
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills; able to make sound, timely decisions
* Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
* Comfortable working in a global, team-oriented environment
Desirable (nice to have)
* Proficiency in, or eagerness to learn, a high-level programming language
* Systems administration experience (UNIX and/or Windows Server)
* Experience with storage technologies (SAN, NAS, S3/object storage)
* Familiarity with Kubernetes or OpenShift
* Cloud computing experience
* Project delivery experience
* Exposure to software vulnerability detection, security hardening or penetration testing
Salary & Benefits
* Salary up to £65,000 per annum
