About the service

We are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people. Our vision is 'great healthcare from great people'. Everything we do is guided by our values: 'People feel cared for, safe, respected and confident that we are making a difference'. We have a new way of working at East Kent Hospitals, called 'We care'. It is about empowering frontline staff to lead improvements day-to-day. We’re looking for compassionate people to be part of our improvement journey for the patients, families and carers we care for every day.

The Respiratory physiology and sleep service at East Kent Hospitals is one of the largest services in the South East, outside of London. We are an incredibly busy service, which undertakes over 3,000 respiratory polygraphies per annum. We currently have 8,000 CPAP users under the service as well as a very busy NIV service. The respiratory diagnostic service currently undertakes 1300 tests per annum.

Benefits

We offer a full package of benefits, including a car lease scheme; on-site childcare; generous annual leave in line with NHS terms and conditions; high street and public transport discounts; a 24/7 staff support service - and the little things that make life easier, like on-site Amazon lockers and fresh fruit and veg stalls.
