Responsibilities
The post holder will inspire and develop a high-performing team through effective leadership, training, and coaching, taking clear accountability for performance and outcomes. Working in a fast-paced environment, you and your team will play a vital role in implementing change in line with business priorities. You'll also build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the Agency and wider DVLA, ensuring our services continue to evolve and deliver real impact. Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to: Understand changes and how they affect the business, identifying and acting on opportunities that arise. Support the achievement of targets by reviewing and advising on current procedures through formal and informal briefings. Identify and report on risk of non-delivery. Develop and maintain working relationships with customers and stakeholders. Advise leaders and stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner. Represent the business in meetings, acting as a subject matter expert and challenging where appropriate while communicating our practices and strategies. Manage, coach and drive your team's performance, taking responsibility and accountability for performance outcomes, quality, resourcing and efficiencies. Build your own capabilities in managing change in the workplace raise awareness of the digital agenda. Drive continuous improvement and support, lead and communicate with colleagues through periods of change. Great line management is important to us as an organisation, and we will equip and support line managers to develop the skills they need.
