A busy engineering site in Burnley is seeking an experienced Storeperson to support day‑to‑day operations. The role involves managing materials, assisting with deliveries, and ensuring the smooth running of the site stores.
Your new role
Materials Handling & Equipment Operation
1. Operate a Telehandler safely to move materials around site
2. Load and unload deliveries using the Telehandler (and forklift if licensed)
3. Transport materials to required work areas ensuring safe handling
Stock & Inventory Management
4. Receive, check, and record iing goods and deliveries
5. Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory systems
6. Store materials in designated areas and ensure stock is organised
7. Prepare and issue materials to site teams when required
Site Logistics & Organisation
8. Maintain the cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the stores area
9. Ensure walkways and storage bays are kept clear andpliant
10. Assist with general site logistics, including coordinating deliveries
11. Conduct routine inspections of tools, plant, and equipment in stores
Health, Safety &pliance
12. Follow all site health and safety protocols and reporting procedures
13. Report damaged materials or unsafe conditions immediately
14. Use correct PPE at all times
General Support
15. Assist site teams with manual handling tasks when required
16. Support supervisors and site management with ad‑hoc duties
17. Provide regular updates on stock levels and uing requirements
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Requirements
18. Valid Telehandler licence
19. Experience working in a stores, warehouse, or construction environment
20. Strong attention to detail
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
22. Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
23. Previous experience on MEICA or construction-related projects
24. Experience managing stock, deliveries, and site logistics
