A privately owned, growing manufacturing SME (sub £50m turnover) is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support the business through a key transitional period. This is a hands-on finance leadership role within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, offering full oversight of the finance function. Key Responsibilities: Full ownership of the finance function, including month-end, management accounts, and statutory reporting Oversight of cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and working capital management Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to the MD and board Support the business with cost control, margin analysis, and operational performance reporting Lead and mentor a small finance team (2–5 staff) Drive process improvements and system enhancements where needed Support external stakeholders, including auditors and banks Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Prior experience as an FC or Head of Finance in an SME, ideally within manufacturing or a product-based environment Strong understanding of costing, stock, and operational finance Proven ability to thrive in a hands-on role and deliver improvements quickly Comfortable operating in a standalone capacity or as part of a lean team Available at short notice or immediately
