Uppingham School Sports Centre (USSC) is looking for a part-time Duty Manager to help lead the daily operation of our outstanding, dual-purpose facility. Praised by Lord Coe as world class, USSC offers exceptional resources for both the Uppingham School community and over 1,300 public members. As Duty Manager, youll play an essential role within a supportive team to ensure the centre runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest professional standards. Youll lead and motivate staff, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain rigorous health and safety protocols. Additionally, youll drive the promotion of memberships and activity programmes, oversee team performance, and handle key financial duties such as cash reconciliation. About you Were looking for a confident and capable individual who brings: Proven experience working in the leisure industry Strong people skills and a calm, confident, and approachable manner Experience supervising or supporting team members A current First Aid qualification A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is also required, although if you dont yet have it, we can support you to gain it within your first three months of employment. Hours of work: The role is part-time, averaging 20 hours per week on a rolling rota covering our opening hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 10:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday from 8:00am to 10:00pm.
