Are you a Trainee Teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT) ready to build experience in the classroom while making a real difference in students’ lives? Milk Education is looking for passionate and enthusiastic individuals to work as Subject Specialist Teachers or General Cover Teachers across Secondary Schools in Sunderland, providing support and cover across a range of subjects and year groups.

About the Role
As a Secondary Teacher, you’ll step into classrooms in a Subject Specialist Teacher or General Cover Teacher capacity, planning sessions and activities, delivering pre-set lessons, supporting learning, and managing behaviour. You’ll also work one-to-one or with small groups, contributing to the academic and personal development of students.
This role is ideal for:
1. Trainee Teachers awaiting QTS confirmation (with TRN already assigned)
2. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs/ECTs) seeking classroom experience before starting a permanent position
3. Anyone eager to explore different schools before beginning their ECT induction

Key Responsibilities:
12. Deliver pre-planned lessons across various secondary subjects
13. Plan lessons according to the subject framework and curriculum
14. Manage classroom behaviour effectively
15. Support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis
16. Work collaboratively with school staff and senior leaders
17. Provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Essential Requirements:
18. Must hold QTS with a valid TRN, or be a Trainee Teacher awaiting QTS (TRN assigned)
19. Strong communication and classroom management skills
20. Passion for teaching and supporting students
21. Adaptable and eager to gain experience across different schools
