Are you passionate about protecting people, property, and the environment? Join us as a Warning & Informing Advisor and play a key part in how Wales prepares for and responds to flooding.
Based in South Wales you'll help deliver and enhance our flood warning services-ensuring communities receive timely, accurate information when it matters most. You'll work with internal teams and external partners to develop procedures, support emergency planning, and train staff to respond effectively to flood incidents.
Your role will include:
* Helping communities understand their flood risk and encouraging them to develop flood plans
* Developing and improving our flood warning systems and guidance
* Supporting high-priority areas and helping shape our emergency response procedures
* Taking part in our 24/7 Flood Warning Duty Officer rota, playing a critical role during live incidents
* Building strong relationships with local authorities, emergency responders, and Local Resilience Forums
