Service Technician opportunity in Haywards Heath
Pay: £28,000 - £35,000 Basic
Hours: 8 - 5.30pm Monday - Friday no weekends - optional overtime on Thursday evenings paid at time and half hourly rate
Are you a motivated vehicle technician looking for a stable and rewarding role in West Sussex? Our client, a well-established independent garage in Haywards Heath, is seeking a Service Vehicle Technician to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified or qualified through experience vehicle technician to develop their career in a friendly and professional environment.
The successful Service Vehicle Technician will be responsible for carrying out servicing and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including cars and light vans. The garage is equipped with modern facilities, including five 2-post lifts, a scissor lift, and ramped MOT bays, ensuring smooth and efficient work. MOT testing capability is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.

3. Optional overtime on Thursday evenings paid at time and a half

Duties:
7. Performing routine servicing and repair work on vehicles
8. Conducting diagnostics and fault finding
9. Assisting with occasional clutch and timing belt replacements
10. Maintaining high standards of workmanship
11. Ensuring timely completion of jobs and excellent customer service
Requirements:
12. Recently qualified or a few years experience as a vehicle technician
13. Basic knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs
14. Ability to work efficiently and accurately
15. Have own tools and driving licence
16. Strong organisation skills and a professional attitude
17. Local candidates within approximately five miles of Haywards Heath preferred
18. MOT certification would be advantageous but is not essential
