We are expanding our current Workshop team with the investment of additional CNC machines and are seeking to recruit full time permanent experienced CNC Programmer

*The Role*
As a CNC Programmer, you’ll play a key role in our production process — converting CAD designs and technical drawings into efficient CNC programs. Working closely with our design and workshop teams, you’ll ensure each component is produced with exceptional accuracy, fitting perfectly into our handcrafted pieces.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Create and optimise CNC programs using e.g., Solid Works, SWOOD, Alphacam, RhinoCAM etc.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and design specifications
* Select appropriate tools, cutting paths, and materials for each job
* Collaborate with workshop staff and designers to ensure manufacturing feasibility
* Troubleshoot and refine programs to improve efficiency and reduce waste
* Maintain CNC machinery and ensure safe operating procedures are followed
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a woodworking or joinery environment
* Strong working knowledge of CAD/CAM software
* Understanding of wood materials, joinery techniques, and workshop processes
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Knowledge of G-code and CNC machine setup preferred
*Desirable (but not essential)*
* Experience with 5-axis CNC routers
* Familiarity with bespoke furniture or architectural joinery
* Background in cabinetmaking or woodworking craftsmanship
Hours of work:
4 days per week Monday - Thursday 06:00 - 6.00pm with overtime option on a Friday.
