Procurement Officer (Apprentice)
This apprenticeship is a fixed-term contract of 24 months, with the possibility of a permanent offer after successful completion of the qualification. The role requires a full-time commitment of 35 hours per week, with 20% of the time allocated to off‑the‑job learning (lectures or tutorials).
Location: Exchange Tower, Docklands, London
Reporting to: Procurement Manager
Salary: £26,936 per annum
Hybrid Working: At least four days per fortnight in the office
What You’ll Do
* Provide first‑line customer support via email, phone, and in person, ensuring that policy and process are adhered to.
* Process a range of operational procurement tasks at every stage of the procurement lifecycle.
* Manage your own workload effectively and support the wider team’s success.
* Identify concerns and suggest potential process improvements.
* Take ownership of your own development, building procurement knowledge to pass the apprenticeship qualification and make a valuable contribution.
* Use the organisation’s systems and processes in line with organisational policies.
* Attend off‑the‑job learning 20% of the time as required by the apprenticeship program.
Minimum Criteria
* 5 GCSEs at grade A–C, including English and Maths (or equivalent qualification).
* Not in full‑time education or receiving funding for another learning programme on enrolment in September 2026.
* Full UK Right to Work for the duration of the apprenticeship and valid residence status. Must have been resident in the UK for 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
* Interest in procurement.
