This is an exciting opportunity to join our client, a well‑established, proactive multidisciplinary consultancy that is expanding its geographical reach by establishing a brand‑new office in Scotland. They specialise in landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering projects and are looking for a capable, passionate Senior Civil Engineer with extensive infrastructure design knowledge to take on a variety of challenging projects.
You will be working alongside a newly‑established team of infrastructure design experts based near Glasgow.

Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design of a range of engineering projects and developments
* Oversee the day‑to‑day running of projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
* Mentor and support colleagues as they develop professionally
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
* Prepare and check technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements
* Adhere to company policies, procedures and best practices, upholding appropriate health and safety standards at all times
* Act as a company representative at client meetings and site visits
Required skills and experience
* A UK degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
* Experience in a design‑based role, within a UK‑based consultancy or Local Authority
* Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (especially highways and drainage), housing developments and energy engineering projects
* Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
* Proficiency in the use of various software packages (including Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD and others)
* Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
* Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
* Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience
* A higher degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Experience authoring Flood Risk Assessments
* Experience preparing Transport Assessments
* Experience leading projects/teams
* Experience in a public‑facing role
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
