Assistant Gardener/Driver
We are small landscape garden maintenance company based in Godalming Surrey. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team. We are looking for someone with experience and/or horticultural qualifications, to help maintain gardens throughout Surrey. The candidate must be well motivated and have great attention to detail. The ideal candidate must be able to travel to Godalming.
Responsibilities include maintaining all aspects of the gardens including mowing, weeding, blowing, and much more. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of how to use equipment, including mowers and brush cutters. PA1 and PA6 would be desirable, but this is not essential.
On site training is given for the use of power tools.
20 days paid holiday a year plus bank holidays.
Responsibilities
· Punctual
· Works well as a team and also on your own
· Be able to work in a physically demanding role in all weather.
· Planting shrubs, trees and seasonal plants
· Mow, trim and fertilise lawns
· Mulch, edge and weed gardens
· Prune and trim trees and bushes
· Monitor and maintain the health of plants
· Deal with pest problems that could damage plants
· Keep gardens clear of debris
Requirements
· Experience is essential.
· The ability to lift heavy objects
· The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
· A love of the outdoors and plant life
· Must be able to travel to and from Godalming
· Hold a full UK driving license
· PA1 and PA6 desirable but not required
