We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our Supply Chain team in Hawick. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our production operations running smoothly by coordinating workflow to and from our subcontractors. You’ll manage schedules, track progress, and ensure accurate documentation to deliver world-class products efficiently and on time. Workflow Coordination Prioritise and distribute production work to subcontractors in line with schedules Process and scan production tickets using internal systems (e.g. Temacs) Ensure physical quantities align with production documentation Receive, check, and process subcontracted goods promptly Escalate receipting issues and flag reworks to the relevant teams Scheduling & Planning Support production scheduling by ensuring the right products reach the right suppliers at the right time Ensure all required materials (e.g. threads, linking yarns) are included with shipments Identify delays or bottlenecks and escalate where necessary Documentation & Compliance Ensure all deliveries are accompanied by accurate packing lists and/or knitting orders Provide documentation to support warehouse dispatch and shipment tracking Communication Liaise with internal teams including Planning, Production, Subcontracting, Quality, and Logistics Maintain clear and timely communication to support smooth operations Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency Support supply chain best practice initiatives Contribute to ongoing improvement projects What will you bring to the role?
