Are you looking for a role where your mechanical maintenance skills genuinely matter and your work directly supports the safe management of the UK’s civil nuclear legacy? As a mechanical Production Technician, you will play a key part in keeping our sites safe, compliant and operating to a high standard.
You will join a team that values professionalism, good judgement and a calm, methodical approach. We work in a regulated environment, so you will be trusted to apply your expertise, follow clear processes and contribute to a strong safety culture. If you want a role that offers a four-day working week and the chance to support the UK’s nuclear legacy with pride, this could be the right next step.
You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems across the Sizewell A and Bradwell sites. This includes everything from routine checks to fault diagnosis, repairs and supporting safe plant operations. You will use your judgement to investigate issues, identify root causes and propose practical engineering solutions.
You will work independently when needed, while also supporting colleagues by clearly communicating maintenance findings or sharing knowledge and safe working practices within the team.
You will bring sound mechanical maintenance experience and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a high performing team. Your approach will be safety focused, thorough and aligned to working in a regulated environment. Being organised and able to communicate clearly will help you succeed in this role. The post holder may be required to fulfil a role in the Site Emergency Scheme.
You will need a relevant technical qualification at Level 3, strong hands on mechanical skills and the ability to read engineering drawings. Experience with lifting equipment or work in the nuclear sector is helpful but not essential if you bring the right capability and mindset.
