The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience and be willing to take on more responsibilities over time, making this a fantastic opportunity for any experienced accounts assistant seeking progression.
Key skills required for this role include:
* Reconciliation of bank accounts
* Daily invoicing, coding, and posting of invoices
* Calculating various monthly and quarterly rebates and updating spreadsheets
* Checking, reconciling, and submitting VAT returns
* Account management
* Preparing VAT returns
* Purchase order processing and supplier payments
* Sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers
* Assisting in preparing the Trial Balance
Payroll responsibilities include:
* Preparing and processing payroll monthly
* Inputting timesheets and transactions into the bespoke payroll database
* Processing starters and leavers
* Handling statutory payments
* Submitting information to HMRC
* Processing and submitting pension data
* Rolling back and correcting payroll when necessary
* Compiling monthly payroll reports
Key attributes include:
* AAT qualification or equivalent experience
* Ability to manage and prioritize workload with minimal supervision
The successful candidate will be highly proficient in IT, including Excel, with excellent attention to detail. Team fit and flexibility are paramount.
