Founded in 2011, The Lakes Distillery has an ambitious vision to become a luxury single malt whisky business. Having reached a significant point in our growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a housekeeper to join our team on the next phase of our journey.
This role will consist mainly of weekend work, with occasional weekday shifts as required, although shift requests can be discussed at interview. Please note this is a 12 hour per week, 3-month rolling contract.
As housekeeper you will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations on site and providing exceptional experiences to our guests. With a focus on keeping all visitor areas immaculately cleaned and maintained to the standards of a Visit England Gold Award winner, you will be part of a team with exceptionally high standards. Attention to detail is key to this role, along with the ability to work in a face-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for, but not limited to: Ensuring all guest and staff areas are immaculately cleaned and maintained to the expected standard of a Visit England Gold Award winner, including but not limited to:
Mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors
Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
Cleaning and sanitising toilets
Cleaning glass, windows and mirrors
Emptying waste bins
General tidying and de-cluttering
Maintaining outside areas courtyard, garden and pathways
Clearing the carpark and roadside of litter and debris
Maintaining required stock levels and ensure sufficient toiletries, handwash, etc, is always available in all locations
Ensuring all laundry is completed within the expected timeframes and sufficient laundry is held on site at all times
Monitoring cleaning supplies and notify Housekeeping Supervisor of any shortages
Assisting with maintenance tasks as required
Undertaking all reasonable management requests

An awareness of general cleaning and hygiene standards
Ability to work collaboratively within the team as well as under own initiative
