With over 600,000 visitors a year, the visitor programme is year-round and diverse to meet the needs of the broad range of audiences who visit. The National Trust team here today conserve and care for the estate carrying on the legacy of the eighth Lord and Lady Berwick who left the estate to the National Trust in 1947. You'll be leading our work that aims to speak to, intrigue and involve both new and existing audiences. You’ll make sure we’re providing a good range of activities to tell the story of this place and help everyone to enjoy their day. And you’ll be constantly looking for new ideas and ways to improve on the last event, making sure that what we’re offering visitors is fun, absorbing and relevant.You'll also be thinking about the people who aren’t yet coming to visit, and how to find ways of reaching them and making them feel welcome.With your team, you’ll plan and deliver the annual visitor programme organising seasonal activities and events across the estate. You’ll support on outdoor interpretation to engage our visitors, tell the history of our places and engage them in conservation. You’ll work in collaboration to grow existing partnerships and network to build new ones which will help design and support delivery of activities, as well as progress the work we have been doing to make sure the places we care for are accessible and welcoming to diverse audiences.
