Your Purpose
This role is for an Assistant Signalling Project Engineer / Signalling Project Engineer reporting to an Engineering Manager.
Primary Functions Include
* Supporting the engineering lead for projects and leading engineering for small work packages.
* Preparing for and supporting/interdisciplinary design reviews.
* Preparing Engineering Management Plans, contributing to risk assessments, and writing technical reports.
* Producing and managing materials lists.
* Liaising with client engineers.
* Resolving engineering issues on-site and with design teams. Assisting in estimates and tender documentation.
* Creating and managing trackers/registers for engineering deliverables. Producing/collating O&M manuals and H&S Files.
* Supporting design, testing, construction, and project management, including trackside duties during commissioning.
What You Can Bring
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* HNC / HND / Degree or other technical qualification, preferably in electrical or electronic engineering.
* IRSE Licence(s).
* Experience working on-site.
* Knowledge of level crossings.
* Completed a railway signalling training scheme (e.g., Apprenticeship/graduate).
* Good communication skills.
* Proactive and flexible attitude.
* Team player and self-motivated.
* Fit to work trackside and hold PTS.
* Efficient time management and prioritization skills.
