POSITION: Senior Human Resources Advisor
DIVISION/DEPT: People & Culture Department
REPORT TO: Head of People & Culture
LOCATION: Greater Manchester (Field Based)
The Opportunity - Senior Human Resources Advisor
We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Senior HR Advisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Personable and driven, you will play a key role in shaping the People & Culture function across our UK operations, with additional exposure to our South Africa and Asia teams.
This role is fundamental in delivering a culture and office environment that truly represents Solent and our values. Covering our three sites in the North - Widnes, Bury, and Dinnington. You will be involved in all aspects of HR and recruitment, ensuring our teams are supported and set up for success.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Lead the integration of a recent acquisition, embedding culture and driving new ways of working.
* Partner with managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans.
* Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner to identify staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies.
* Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Leverage HR data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
* Identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance HR processes and practices.
* Own the employee lifecycle—from recruitment through probation—to ensure effective onboarding and development.
About You
* CIPD or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* A strategic thinker who can translate business needs into impactful HR initiatives.
* Experience in change management or M&A integration is highly desirable.
