Reporting To: Senior Staff Project Engineer
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Wolverhampton, GBR)
Location: Wolverhampton, UK. Travel: ~25% domestic & international.
Moog is hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join our Military Global Sustainment (MGS) Test Equipment Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning, execution and delivery of Test Equipment programmes (capital budgets £/USD 5M–50M; timelines 1–8 months).
* Serve as lead for one major project and manage up to five minor projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with customer and contractual requirements.
* Oversee schedules, resource allocation, financial forecasting and executive‑level status reporting.
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality) and external vendors.
* Work with US and international military customers to capture, validate and manage requirements across the project lifecycle.
* Develop Requirement Specifications and Statements of Work to support RFQs; manage subcontract procurement, vendor performance and on‑site contractor coordination.
* Conduct vendor audits and technical evaluations; enforce supplier quality and contractual compliance.
* Produce and maintain project documentation, proposals and resource‑loaded schedules; manage configuration and release processes.
* Drive resolution of corrective actions, significant issues and non‑conformances; support root‑cause analysis, quality audits and health & safety risk assessments.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or similar.
* Minimum 7 years technical project management experience in Aerospace, Automotive or Test Equipment sectors.
* Proven experience managing subcontract procurement and supplier performance for test equipment.
* Strong requirements management and verification & validation experience.
* Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams and manage cost, schedule and scope trade‑offs.
* Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) fundamentals.
* Hands‑on test experience with hydraulic, electric and mechanical aerospace actuation systems.
* Eligibility to obtain required US or UK security clearance.
