UK-Wide Travel | Remote-Based
AD Energy Recruitment is partnering with a growing and innovative renewable energy business to recruit a Mechanical Service Engineer to support anaerobic digestion and resource recovery facilities across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, field-based work, and the opportunity to contribute to the UK's transition towards cleaner, more sustainable energy generation.
Whether you already have experience within biogas and anaerobic digestion or come from another industrial maintenance environment, this role offers the chance to develop specialist expertise within one of the fastest-growing sectors in renewable energy.
The Role
As a Mechanical Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring plant equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably across a portfolio of renewable energy facilities.
Working independently and alongside site teams, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, equipment optimisation, and commissioning support activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical plant equipment.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on mechanical systems, pipework, pumps, motors, valves, mixers, conveyors, heating systems, and process equipment.
* Support the maintenance and optimisation of critical plant assets including heat exchangers, gas handling systems, sensors, safety systems, and associated infrastructure.
* Conduct mechanical inspections and condition assessments to improve reliability and performance.
* Support commissioning, upgrade, and improvement projects across operational facilities.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures, RAMS, and Safe Systems of Work.
* Maintain accurate service records and technical documentation.
* Work closely with operations and engineering teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance.
