Job description
The Project Manager role sits within the council's Portfolios, Programmes and Projects (PPP) Service - a well - established function that delivers transformation, change and capital construction projects across the whole organisation, overseeing a programme of major construction projects, including £30+ million education projects, alongside infrastructure, harbourside and children's home developments. This work directly contributes to improving outcomes for children, young people and communities across Bristol.

You will play a pivotal role in this transition - working with Senior Project Managers as part of a programme or project, applying best practice, uplifting capability and setting new expectations for excellence and consistency across construction projects.

As part of this journey, you will contribute by planning and delivering construction projects effectively, ensuring high - quality outcomes for Bristol's communities.
You will manage day - to - day planning and delivery of capital construction projects - ensuring they are delivered on time, to budget and to the right quality - using Bristol City Council's standard project management methodology.
You will have project management experience in a construction setting, with some understanding of CDM regulations, coordination of site activities, managing risks and issues, and experience of collaborating effectively with contractors, design teams and internal stakeholders.

* Experience of managing projects within a construction environment, demonstrating understanding of CDM regulations, and ability to coordinate site-based activities.

* Excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills with the ability to demonstrate consistent completion of assigned tasks within agreed time- scales, costs and quality constraints.
* Evidence of success in building and managing effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of authority; building and managing effective project teams
