Service Advisor – Westbury
Our client, a reputable franchise‑approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple locations nationwide, is seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor for their busy Westbury dealership. Duties
* Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the service process
* Manage workshop loading, ensuring it remains current and optimised
* Keep customers informed proactively about vehicle repair progress
* Book vehicles at convenient times, coordinating appointment schedules with workshop capacity
* Identify customer requirements and provide accurate, comprehensive quotations
* Produce detailed job cards, estimates, and invoices, ensuring data accuracy
* Explain maintenance work and repairs clearly to customers, maximising sales opportunities
* Generate warranty job cards in accordance with manufacturer policies
* Record all work requirements comprehensively, including retail, warranty, internal, and non‑chargeable repairs
* Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure availability of necessary parts
* Work collaboratively with the Service Manager and team to uphold high service standards
* Liaise with vehicle manufacturers for warranty authorisations and procedures, ideally involving commercial vehicles
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills
* Strong organisational abilities and IT literacy (experience with Kerridge/Keyloop preferable)
* A valid UK driving licence with minimal penalty points
* Knowledge of warranty procedures and familiarity with commercial vehicles is advantageous, but not essential
* Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment and maintain attention to detail
