Description
We’re seeking a driven and hands‑on General Manager to lead our Ely site, overseeing greenhouse and packhouse operations with a focus on quality, process control, and team development. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring high performance, strong compliance, and an exceptional workplace culture.
As General Manager, you’ll provide visible, decisive leadership across our Ely site — driving standards, ensuring process control, efficiency, and accountability through your teams.
You’ll take ownership of:
* Leading operations and maintaining discipline standards across the greenhouse, packhouse and facilities teams
* Driving cost control, safety, and hygiene compliance
* Coaching and developing managers to achieve operational excellence
* Embedding a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement
* Reporting on site performance, compliance, and workforce development
You’ll also be part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and business‑wide initiatives to ensure Ely operates efficiently, safely, and in line with company goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop your team to deliver consistent performance and engagement
* Ensure operational processes, standards, and audits are met across all areas
* Maintain high‑quality production and site presentation standards
* Oversee risk assessments, safe systems of work, and health & safety compliance
* Collaborate with internal teams to optimise labour planning, productivity, and communication
* Promote the GHG values of Ownership, Energy, Cultivate, Action, and Excellence every day
