As the successful Process Operator, you will report into the Production Coordinator. Since our plant operates 24/7, this role requires flexibility to ensure effective plant operations. On a day-to-day basis, duties and responsibilities include (not exhaustive):
* Monitoring the automated performance of the pre-heater, kiln feeder, rotary kiln burner, calciner, exhaust gases, emissions, and cooler processes.
* Interacting with and manipulating the process to maximize cement production and ensure it remains within specifications.
* Managing daily blockages, housekeeping, maintenance, and production issues as part of a team.
* Populating production data into various site software systems to monitor performance levels efficiently.
* Monitoring, reporting, and recording incidents, abnormalities, or deviations using appropriate checklists.
* Reviewing equipment and production conditions according to job plans.
* Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
* Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the department.
* Ensuring additives and raw materials are available in the correct quantities at designated areas.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a Process Operator, preferably in a cement environment. Skills and experience we seek include:
* Mechanical or electrical process knowledge.
* Ability to carry out heavy manual work.
* Experience in a production or maintenance environment.
* Understanding of safety procedures, leading by example.
* Certifications in isolation procedures and mobile plant licenses are desirable.
