Hays have been working with a primary school located in Blackpool for a number of years. We have supplied both teachers and TAs to this school on a regular basis. They are now looking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis. This is a school that strives for excellence in all areas of learning and so they are looking for amitted individual to join the team and provide the right support. It is a very special place where each child is encouraged to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.
Your new role
This role will be working on a full-time basis and will involve working on a 1:1 basis with a little boy in year 1 with mild SEN needs. He is struggling academically, particularly with his writing. You will be responsible for learning the specific needs of the child and making sure you provide the correct support, to help push this child to reach their potential. You must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the pupils as they work and work closely with the teacher to ensure that all work set is delivered and planned in line with pupil ability. You will need to be fullymitted to the role and be ready to give it 100%.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children and ideally previously experience supporting SEN children, even if you have limited experience, we want to hear from you. You should feel confident working with children in a 1:1 setting as well as being friendly and enthusiastic. You will need to be available to start as soon as possible and continue through until summer.
